Dr Miranda Christophers
I am an Accredited Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist with 5 years post qualification experiencing working with individual and couples to help work through issues affecting their relationships, self-esteem/confidence and sex lives. My approach draws upon a wide range of psychosexual and relationship theory, proven therapeutic tools and techniques in addition to an integrative approach incorporating psychodynamic, Imago, CBT and mindfulness theory.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, gender/sexual identity and relationship status. I do not believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach thus works empathically and creatively with people to help them work towards achieving their goals. I aim to enrich and help improve confidence and self-esteem during the therapeutic process. I am currently undertaking a Certificate in Clinical Supervision.
I am passionate about my work and desire to help others to enjoy the relationships and sex lives they would like. In addition to providing therapy, I am a regular media contributor to newspapers, magazines, podcasts and radio. Outside of my therapeutic work, I am service lead for a voluntary organisation providing a listening ear during the pandemic.
I am registered with COSRT and the BACP which upholds high standards in professional codes of practice, qualification and ongoing training.
