Dr Jamie Chan
I am a Chartered Doctor of Psychology with a wide range of experience having worked in private psychiatric hospitals, prisons, court, GP practices, NHS hospitals, charitable organisations and have offered online counselling in the UK, Australia and USA. I work with adults and young people.
I am registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), which upholds high standards in professional codes of practice, qualification and ongoing training.
My extensive experience allows me to support many people with their mental and emotional health difficulties, including anxiety, panic disorder, addictions, depression, stress, personality disorder, substance misuse, life transitions, interpersonal difficulties and emotional regulation.
My approach allows me to tailor therapies to the client and includes evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy, compassion focused therapy and motivational interviewing.
I aim to provide a safe therapeutic space for you to explore your inner conflicts and struggles and to utilise your strengths and to develop tools to support you.
I may be able to offer sessions through health care insurer: AXA, BUPA, Aviva, Vitality, CIGNA, BUPA and Healix.
