Dr Lorna Taylor
I am a Doctor of Clinical Psychology with 7 years’ post doctorate experience with a passion for working with young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties including anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem and self-harm. I have extensive experience working with different therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I have expertise in working with young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attentional Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I am able to offer evidence-based therapy which is tailored to the young person’s interests, needs and abilities.
I qualified from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience in 2013 and have since been employed by the NHS. I work in a national and specialist children’s service since and in addition to my clinical work. I also conduct clinical research and teaching.
I am registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), which upholds high standards in professional codes of practice, qualification and ongoing training.
