Uk Psychologist Katja

Dr Jessica Muir

I offer a warm and non-judgmental space where people can make sense of challenges they are experiencing and create meaningful changes. My approach is holistic, centering people’s strengths and values. I have a wide range of experience, having supported the emotional wellbeing of adults, young people and families in NHS and voluntary sector settings. I currently work as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust. In my NHS and private practice I support people who are managing life transitions, living with health conditions and experiencing various difficulties including low mood, anxiety, work related stress and burnout. I hold particular expertise in trauma focused work and have significant experience of supporting survivors of birth trauma, childhood abuse, sexual violence and relational trauma. I also have a special interest in women’s health and wellbeing.

I work flexibly, integrating varied evidence-based modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy, to fit with people’s hopes for the work. I prioritise creating a safe environment and am committed to providing collaborative therapy that adjusts to people’s specific needs and goals.

I am registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), which upholds high standards in professional codes of practice, qualification and ongoing training.
